When I bought my first car, I neglected the maintenance of it. I had my oil changed occasionally, but I honestly didn't realize just how important it is to have your car fluids checked. I learned the importance of it the hard way when my steering wheel fluid ran out while I was driving. I had a very hard time turning the wheel, and I panicked and hit the breaks. The road I was on was icy, and the sudden breaking caused by car to spin around in a big circle in the middle of traffic.
